Reserve a Study Room
Fletcher students can reserve a study room before their visit. All other seats in the library are available on a walk-in basis.
Study Spaces at Ginn
Study carrels, study tables, standing desks, and soft seating are available on all levels of Ginn Library. See our seating floor plan.
Group Study
In Group Study spaces (Lower and Upper Reference, Couch Lounge area, Lower Stacks, and Study Rooms):
- Food is allowed. Please be considerate of other library users by limiting food to snacks, and avoiding foods that are noisy, messy or strong-smelling. Do not have food delivered to Ginn. In case of spills, ask for cleaning wipes at the Circulation Desk, and be sure to dispose of your trash.
- Quiet conversation and group collaboration are allowed.
- Cell phones should be on vibrate or silent.
- Voice calls are allowed in study rooms only.
Silent Study
In Silent Study spaces (Reading Room, Core and Periodicals Room, and Third Floor Stacks):
- No food is allowed, but covered drinks are OK.
- No conversation.
- Cell phones should be on silent.
- No voice calls.
